Onika Knitwear is an artist-owned label dedicated to preserving traditional hand-knitting. Every piece is designed and crafted in Salzburg from premium mohair, cashmere, or alpaca, in small batches and limited edition.

The brand brings a modern, minimalist interpretation of timeless traditional handcrafted techniques. The knitwear line evokes simplicity, versatility, with a hint of subtle elegance and comfort.

The Designer

After over a decade in banking, Oana traded the corporate world for craftsmanship, transforming her lifelong passion into Onika Knitwear.

Each piece is designed and handmade by the designer in Salzburg using the highest quality Italian yarns, reflecting her philosophy of slow luxury and meaningful design.

Why knitwear?
Knitwear and traditional craft had always been part of designer's family heritage - a legacy she chose to keep alive. With a natural talent for design and an eye for detail, she now creates knitwear collections that blend timeless artistry with contemporary elegance.

Today, every Onika Knitwear piece is crafted in very limited quantities, entirely by the designer’s hands.

Looking forward, she envisions expanding her creative universe by collaborating with other artisans who share her commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, and slow luxury.
