The Amethyst Dust edition introduces a delicate two-tone palette to our signature bomber silhouette. By blending soft beige with a muted purple hue, this signature colorway achieves a subtle contrast that brings a luminous, renewed depth to the classic hand-knit texture.

Handmade in our Salzburg atelier from premium RMS-certified mohair and silk, the cardigan maintains a sculptural volume while remaining incredibly light and soft. It drapes effortlessly, showcasing the distinctive tactile richness and airy halo that defines our mohair knitwear collection.

Style Tip: The Amethyst Dust palette is designed to harmonise with light, neutral tones. Pair it with a beige or stone-coloured base for a sophisticated look.

Made to order: please allow up to 4 business days to hand-knit your cardigan before it ships.

How do I care for my knitwear?

As we work exclusively with natural fibres, the general rule is to handwash when needed, air your knitwear between wears rather than wash it too often, and always store it folded flat.

Use a lanolin-free detergent for mohair and a lanolin-enriched detergent for wool and cashmere. If you prefer one detergent, choose a gentle formula suitable for all the fibres in your knitwear.

What makes Onika Knitwear’s fibres special?

Onika Knitwear works exclusively with natural fibres, including premium Mongolian cashmere and carefully selected mohair-silk blends, chosen for their softness, durability and distinctive texture.

The yarns are selected with a focus on fibre quality and recognised certifications, including ICEA-certified cashmere, RMS-certified mohair, GOTS and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, where applicable. These certifications provide additional assurance about specific aspects of the materials and their sourcing.

Combined with small-batch production and timeless designs, these materials create knitwear designed to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.

We work with carefully selected natural fibres, sourced with respect for animal welfare, biodiversity, and land. From Italian-spun yarns to cashmere sourced directly from Mongolian herding communities, each material reflects a commitment to quality and responsibility.
